Abbington Senior Living Community Opens in Layton

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (February 23, 2023) – The new Abbington Senior Living Community in Layton is now open. Offering independent, assisted living, and memory care, The Abbington Senior Living Community is located at 350 South 100 West in Layton.

With nearly 100 living spaces (19 memory care studios, 33 studios, 36 one-bedroom and six two-bedroom apartments), the new Abbington is located across from both the Intermountain Layton Hospital and a nearly completed Tanner Clinic. It also has views of the newly built temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and is near the new Vietnam Memorial at Layton’s Commons Park and Layton City Amphitheater.

Currently Utah’s population growth is among the highest in the country, Layton City is expected to grow by about 32,000 new residents over the next 25 years, reaching a population of nearly 112,000 by 2045 (Layton City Economic Development).

Residents at the Abbington may enjoy restaurant-style dining (three meals a day), a full-time registered nurse, as well as doctors from the local community who make house calls. There are also two outdoor courtyards – one that is secured for memory care residents – that include a putting green, fire pit, a walking path and outdoor seating.
