Al’s Sporting Goods Opens in Idaho Falls

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (October 1, 2020) –Al’s Sporting Goods along with Woodbury Corporation announced today the grand opening of the company’s first store in Idaho. Al’s Sporting Goods is a full-line specialty sporting goods retailer, located at 2395 East 17th Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho.

The new 35,000 square foot stores design is focused around providing a unique and convenient shopping experience for the whole family. Larger aisles, fully stocked inventory and aesthetically pleasing displays showcasing the wide variety of products available are all characteristics of Al’s Sporting Goods store’s.

“Being an outdoor and family-oriented business, we have always had our eye on the Idaho Falls market because of the similarities to Cache Valley, Utah, where we are headquartered,” said Dustin Smith, vice president of Al’s Sporting Goods. “We are excited to be able to serve such an active community, and the location is ideal being so close to Jackson Hole, the Tetons and other notable outdoor destinations.”

This is the third store for the company, and brings 95 new jobs to the local economy. The second store is in Orem, Utah, at University Place, a mixed-use development owned and operated by Woodbury Corporation.
