Woodbury Corporation Hotels and Staff Receive Recognitions of Excellence

  • Woodbury Corporation Hotels Across Residence Inn, Courtyard, and Springhill Suites Brands Win Awards for Superior Customer Service Performance
  • Bjoern Jaeger Named Residence Inn 2015 General Manager of the Year

SALT LAKE CITY (June 28, 2016) – Woodbury Corporation, a full-service real estate development and management company, today announced that three of its hotels have been recently honored with achievements in the hospitality industry.

Each hotel was awarded for demonstrating superior performance in its respective brand, and include:

  • The Residence Inn by Marriott Idaho Falls, which was one of only five hotels to receive the coveted Diamond Hotel Award, a criteria-based award that includes scoring in the top five percent in overall guest satisfaction surveys.
  • The Courtyard by Marriott Lincoln Downtown/Haymarket, which won the Silver Circle Award for scoring in the top 20 percent in overall guest satisfaction surveys.
  • The Springhill Suites by Marriott in Salt Lake City Draper, which won the Silver Circle Award for scoring in the top 20 percent in overall guest satisfaction surveys.

Additionally, Bjoern Jaeger, the general manager of the award-winning Residence Inn by Marriott Idaho Falls, has been named the 2015 General Manager of the Year for the Residence Inn brand. The general manager awards are nomination-based, and winners are selected based on their individual achievements in categories such as financial management, sales leadership, community service, hotel performance, and achieving an overall satisfaction score that is at or above the brand average. In this year’s awards, only four general managers were selected from across the entire global brand to win the Diamond General Manager of the Year award, and of those four Jaeger was selected as the overall General Manager of the Year.

“Residence Inns have some of the best general managers I’ve ever met, so it is a great honor to be singled out from such an elite group,” said Jaeger. “My team and I have focused on doing all the little things right to create an exceptional guest experience, and that is where all of our shared success stems from.”

“We are incredibly proud of Bjoern and all of our award-winning teams,” said Guy Woodbury, vice president of hospitality for Woodbury Corporation. “While we have high quality facilities, it is the hotel staff that really makes the difference for our guests. By delivering outstanding guest service, they bring our hotels to life and create memorable experiences for our guests. These awards are well-earned recognitions of their exceptional talent and dedication.”
